Tantris - Just a few screen shots

Post by Nigel H-J »

Have now loaded Tantris Aircraft onto FS9 and what a difference it makes to my flying experience!!

These shots were taken at Gatwick although I am still running the default airports along with AEU7 from Chris Allington (Avism & Flight Sim).

The traffic is selected at 2% and was surprised at how many aircraft there are. Going to have to put in extra fuel when flying VA just for holding!!!!

Now all I have to do is to grap Steve and John to show me how to take the perfect photograph as I can never get the camera angled to obtain the perfect atmoshpheric shot.

Ooops!! Just previewed this lot and appologise as they are slightly a bit too small!!

I used this in FS9, and it looks great! But I had a couple of issues. AI aircraft would just sit on the runway, and not depart. Others would even drive 'into' the one sitting there, which made for some strange looking craft!

I've just installed MyTraffic into FSX, and got a shock the other night. I requested a departure to the east from Aldergrove, and was given a taxi and departure from 07. As I was rolling, a Dash 8 flew right over me, and another given clearance to land on 25! Don't know if it's a FSX bug, or a MyTraffic bug, but it keeps things interesting!

BTW, the Tantris FS9 AI looks better that the MyTraffic FSX AI. I think it's been kept simple to keep the FPS up.

James,

When I loaded Tantris on there were two selections to choose from with aircraft, well three really if you want military, The Duluxe and the Lite.

I chose the latter as it appears to be much easier on frame rates than the Deluxe selection but even now at Heathrow I can be down to 18 frames on T/O if only for a second or two, though usually around 20 -25 FPS there.

Regards Nigel.

They did as I understand it Garry. However, a number of the troops put the collection onto cd and were good enough to pass it around so to speak

For the uninitiated.. the Tantris packs used a selection of aircraft without the authors permission so all sites pulled links to the files. I'm sure someone out there knows where they are.. it's just not me!

If anyone requires a copy drop me a PM with your address and I'll pop one in the post. I received my copy from someone on these boards so the least I can do is keep the cycle going.

I don't mind stuff going on 'unseen' but you understand that we can't officially condone stuff like this.. even if it IS the best looking AI going
