British Aerospace EAP hypotheticals

Post by Quixoticish »

The EAP (or "Tempest/Vortex/Cyclone" as its various guises are known as over at IRIS) manages to look so much better than the Typhoon....

Does anyone have any tips for getting the hemp colour correct? It seems no matter where I go with it it always looks off, either too light or too dark. The correct hex code from Britmodeller.com gives me a garish sandy pink colour that looks more like a Gulf War scheme than hemp. I've a feeling it may just be the colour and the way the light reflects off it.

Of course you may John.

It's payware (price TBC), and it's due for release "soon" (TM). I'm afraid I can't be more specific than that, it's all hands on deck at the moment though to get it sorted as soon as possible.

Incidentally I'd better mention that these won't be included in the base packages but are in a package I'm putting together to release roughly when it's launched. On top the release repaints (there are a lot of repaints) Andy Nott has done a stunning package as well so when it is released everyone should be completely spoiled for textures.

Fleet Air Arm FRADU, again with a nice Hawk-like shine on it (minus the radome obviously). This scheme really suits the aircraft I think.

I think that's enough for today!

The shots with the conformal tanks and humpback look as if it's been cross-bred with an Israeli A-4 or F-16. Veeeeery interesting!

Now where's my spare Pegasus kit of an EAP..............?

The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was A-4, the humpback seems to suit it far more than the conformal tanks on the F-16. I think because the tail is so large you can get away with adding a lot of "after market mods" without upsetting things too much.

Final two of today, many more to come! And before anyone mentions the nose-art, particularly on the second picture, it was a request, honest!

This really is it for today, I need my pillow, but I'm turning into an addict.
