You're not the only one. That and a few others are going soon in the post - Saro SR53 and SR177, Hunting P.126 (think thats right), Bristol 188 etc etc. I cant promise anything, as Kazunori builds what he wants to and when (and I'm truly grateful as always), but he is a lover of British aeroplanes!

Martin, not a mistake, per se. The Sperrin was used, late in it's career, as a flying testbed for the DH Gyron, initially only one with three Avons and later two Gyrons/two Avons (as modelled). I'm quite happy with it as is!

IMHO it's no bad thing, as I say we already have the AlphaSim version which is modelled on the earlier Sperrin incarnation and now we have this one... it's cool by me
Downloaded the Bristol T188 that John mentioned. Just as I remembered it when seeing photos of it in the 60s when i was a plane mad 10 yearold. It definitely looked the business if somewhat of a deadend.
The VC on the model is a hoot. Teddy bear on the floor :roll:
That sure is the Gyron test bed, I bet his sound file doesn't replicate the original though!
His serial looks like it's missing a digit, as it reads 'VX58' which must be wrong, but there is photographic proof of it looking just like that, albeit in twin Avon form.
Vaguely relevant and might be of interest to someone, this is a photo of a TV screen playing a video I have showing a drawing (yeah ok... ) of the Manor Road site at Hatfield (DH propellers/HS Dynamics/BAe Dynamics) in the mid 1950s. Just visible in the main hangar is the Sperrin with teh de Havilland Gyron engines and on the apron the Saro 53, powered by an A-S Viper turbojet and a de Havilland Spectre rocket.
He left the Yet another name section in the airfile, it's a Stealth B2 so some tweaking will be needed but his visuals are much better these days.
