Me-thinks that if the Met Office are right regarding further rainfall over the weekend, then there are going to be many wet, bedraggled and dissapointed members of the public who will probably ask the question: "Why did they not cancel it until the next week!!!

Waddo Airshow still on despite severe weather warning!!
Just arrived at work and have been told that despite advice from higher up (wherever or whoever that might be) Waddington have stated that the airshow will still go ahead.

I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

I'm gutted, really had to fight to get this weekend off work. Leave was refused and I had to find someone from another station who would work their rest days for me.
Now i'm going to have to spend it down the pub instead, how terrible... (just don't tell the boss, i'll let him know how wonderfull the airshow was on Monday!)

On the Waddo subject, the forecast (according to Cranwell's MetO) is better for Sunday's show - quite reasonable for part of the day at least. If they're wrong though, I'll be one of the annoying buggers hiding in an aeroplane!
