Helo AI

Post by dswanson »

Hi,

Having set up a few AI aircraft on routes of my choosing I'm now thinking of adding AI Helicopters.

I guess some of you may have tackled this already so here are my questions.

Is there anything special about AI helos - do they take of vertically or taxi like normal a/c ? :dunno:

Does helipad parking in Ttools have any real value ? :dunno:
Regards,

Degsy

at present, the best than can be done is STOL,which is usually around 10 feet. you also need a suitabel afcad, where the helo will basically not be allowed to taxy to the main runway. this involves creating an 'invisible' runway next to the parking slot, so the helo will lauch within 10 feet of it's parking zone

There was a file someone did some time ago where all you did was add this file to an airfileld afcad, the chopper took off from the pad much like you see in the vid but also landed on the same spot.

I'll see if I can dig it out on one of my cd's, as it was quite some time ago but it was a good effect.
