Now I can see why poor Trev needs to take along a sick bag.

More rudder needed for that right turn Dave.....just 'kick the ball'!! :lol: :lol:

More rudder!! :shock: Rudders are for girls mate.. I kinda like to 'Wash & Go' :lol: That said.. it was certainly handy getting me onto the runway with one engine! :thumbsup:

BTW.. I've loaded up this latest Tonka F3. Has anyone learned how to slow it down without judicious use of airbrakes :shock: I think this evenings MP will have to be done on Salt Lake!! :lol:

Hi Guys

Right to stop the meteor NF11 & T7 flaming out at idle throttle under FSX.

[GeneralEngineData]
engine_type=1
Engine.0=-9.8, -7.869, 0.0
Engine.1=-9.8, 7.869, 0.0
fuel_flow_scalar=2.53
min_throttle_limit=0.1

in the Aircraft.cfg :worried:

Also working on other tweaks for Meteor in FSX :-#

Regards
Rick :wink:

Rgr that Rick. The Alpha Frightnings need it too!! :shock:

Talking of which, anyone tried the Alpha Frightning in FSX. It buggers up my panels for the rest of the session :worried: When you go to outside view (or any view other than 2D/VC) the bottom half of the panel remains visible and the view selected appears squashed. No amount of fiddling and farting gets rid of it until you physically come out of the sim and reload it again. Anyone else seen this?? :think:

EDIT:.. Dag nab it.. missed ya matey :sad:

I am here for a couple of hours, but shall miss tonight (Mrs C's flight delayed at LGW :roll: ) which is a pain. Very late on the cards, it seems.

What the hell can that be then Ben???????? :roll:

On the plus side.. Rick's little fix works a treat!! :welldone: Not that struck on the latest Iris F2 :-# Just tried Ricks Varsity and it works like a dream. What's more.. I've tried running FSX windowed today (yes.. windowed!!) and from what I've seen thus far.. FSX runs a darned sight better. Been zipping around that Friday Harbour (note correct spelling) at low to medium level and my framerates have barely dropped below 24fps. Considering it's locked at 25.. that aint bad. The stutters are less (much less) and even on the odd occassion when the FR dropped to say 16, there was little visual difference!

Soo.. Daves 'Top Tip' for today..
If you're running fullscreen and narked by the mediocre performance, try running windowed with the window maximised and see what you think :wink: (users change settings at own risk.. no improvement guaranteed on any system not exactly the same as mine.. smoking may damage your unborn child.. e t c) :lol:

Dave, open up the panel.cfg and look for any lines that read render_3d_window=1 and change it to =0, (or remove it entirely)
Should do the trick :wink:

Oh dear, I have started installing stuff in FSX, and I fear it will take up a lot of HD space! I have the Lightning (early and trainers, but cannot find the F6 zip at the mement) and have also added the Alpha Canberra. Has anybody tried Dave G's Hunters?
EDIT...The early Lightnings are a disaster (no gauges...all FS98 or before..and a blacked out windscreen). The Trainers seem fine. The Canberra has no ASI, but all else works.
