I take that's on the Lightning? I haven't actually tried it in FS. If it's black then it sounds like it doesn't have a texture mapped to it. FSX displays untextured parts either black or invisible. Usually glass goes invisible
Either way, it's a model issue, and nowt you can do about it.
Yes mate, it was the Lightning I was refering to. The windshield is fine, just the canopy  Never mind.. I think Alpha only guarantee support for the life of the sim a model was made for (not unreasonable I suppose). At least it flies and now, thanks to your 'Top Tip'.. it's useable in the new sim
EDIT.. Dave, changing that line in the panel.cfg appears to have fixed the canopy glass too  Seeing some odd lighting effects (nav lights, bcns showing clear squares around them) but otherwise, OK
Nice shots there Eddie. You really must get DG's 'Annie' installed. VC is of the 'static' variety but she flies really well in FSX. There's a nice paint of the AA Anson 18 available too over at allnodes. OK.. wrong type of Anson but beggars can't be choosers
BTW Eddie.. I dragged my AA G-AMRA paint over and dumped it onto the default FSX DC3 and it doesn't like it. I have bits showing that shouldn't and bit's not showing that should.. eg, no rudder.. main gear e t c. Are you using the default FSX model or did you drag the FS9 model in too??
DG..
I found today that the blacked out canopy on the Frightning is directly linked to the dodgy nav lights/bcn. Turn the lights on.. the canopy goes black. Turn em off.. the canopy is clear again  I can't get it to run without cutting out I'm afraid.. it's either one thing or the other.. that is, it cuts out on closed throttle or it fights the brakes on the ground and won't stop. Anyone got a good general engine data figure for this model??
