Post by 2pac »

Just a quick one for you gents.Keep your eyes peeled for pics of the new paint scheme for the Red Arrows...looks cool, one has been done up to now and if it gets the thumbs up the rest will be done from November onwards. It left the paint shop at Cranwell today destined for a real R.A.F station...Scampton!!!

I did unfortunatley  hated it! Im now working on the Vulcan,if you go on to the website and click on engineering you will see me and the canopy which i have just refinished....still alot to do,inside the intakes, renewal of mandatory markings etc etc.I know about the Reds as my best buddy is still in the paint shop at Cranwell, and one of the C/T drinks in my village local!

You may have a soft spot for it as you did your OT there.Likewise for me Swinderby.Cranwell avoids the gates being "welded shut" because of the college building...the tech site is poor, two hangars, small runway. Each to there own Tonks..for me Scampton was nailed prematurely.
