Garry

It took me a while to work it all out. I started painting Mike Stone's models where there was a simple all white texture with panel lines.

After re-inventing myself several times, I figured out the layer technique. As you say it means that it is possible to re-use some textures in subsequent paints.

And CP, don't be afraid to duplicate my repaints. It gives people a choice as to which scheme they prefer - I may have been re-painting longer than you, but no way does that make my efforts better than yours.

The challenge is to do that Loganair logo (and get it the right way round on both sides like I did not - thanks Garry  ).

thanks ian, yes i had a go at the logo and made a pig's ear of it. hence the 1970's paint scheme. i need more practise. during my repaint i have used the layer's and added colours and lines. but during the days the layers merged into the base and as such would have caused me further problems to try and re do my mistake's.
in saying that i have learned from my mistakes and will happly do them again on my next project :worried: the part that i could not get was trying to make curves. i'll have to go back to photoshop and read that bit again. well thanks to all for the support and now how the heck do you place my work on the net. having never done this i would want to get it write first time.

Dave ( Capt P )

ps have picked next project and had a major job trying to get pictures. finally with a couple of black and white real aircraft and a corgie model for colour i might be closer to getting started.

Bezier curves in Photoshop are not easy to get to grips with, but once you have, a lot of things are possible.

I'll see if I can find the link to the website that made things clearer. If not I'll revisit them myself and see if I can explain :brick:

OK Dave

I'll see if I have anything

I've edited your post to just links on the last two due to copyright issues.
