I feel very sorry for all those who have lost their business due to the fire, this will hurt them a lot.

Now, having said that it is not often that I visit Skegness unless something interesting is on at the theatre and when I have gone up there the whole seafront is taken up by these amusement arcades. I have found that even walking along the road near them does my head in with all the noise they emit, Ping Ping - Bells and other 'orrible ear polluting nasty noises. When the time comes to enter the theatre I do so with a bl**dy awful headache!! :brick:

Just hope that when it comes to rebuilding they put damned good sound proofing in.

LOL it was a pain in the rear to get into skeg let alone parked!!! its Crazy today. Yes i do know what your saying the Grand Parade is just amusements and clubs. Also yes its a shame they have lost business etc but maybe its in need of something different to be in place instead of the clubs and arcades. What makes it worse is its after a really bad summer from the first set of flooding and all the bad weather. Its actually gutted nearly the whole row of the buildings from the park enterance to the corner buildings, where they are ok and the gentlemens club next to them. I feel for any relief crews going there as its going to take ages to get through the traffic.

It really is a shame to see so much destroyed in a fire.

I just hope the people concerned have some sort of insurance to keep them going

At least no one was hurt.....but it must be truly devasting for those from the town to see so much destroyed.

Oh yes deffinately!!! Ive been to enough fires to know the concequences, the devistaion and the emotions behind them. Sadly they are just an effective natural processes of clearing an area but they can cause such devistation. The last one i went to, on the scale of Skegnesses, was the Hall near Grantham when half of that went up in fire. Whats just as bad is the time taken after the fire to being back to "normal" for them and the building, longer than the flooded people have to take.
