They have moved the fence back so there's plenty room but I know what you mean. In the very first taxi runs they had to position chaps in hi-viz jackets at all the obstacles and the first night taxi had to be lit by lamps borrowed from Coningsby. Anyway, heres the huge space they have to slot through these days...
Very many thanks for posting those pictures, I have been inside the old girl when she was at Scampton on two seperate occassions. The first when in the hanger waiting to be assembled prior to placement as Gate Guardian and the other time when she was finally put into place.
Unfortunately on those occassions I did not have a camera so any internal shots are a bonus.
