I think it is a very clever ruse by Gordon Brown to send aircraft like this to the EU. When they see aircraft in this state and we ask for a cut in our contributions they are bound to treat us with sympathy?

[quote="legion
Perhaps he should have just the VC10's and sent them both of the remaining Pumas or even all three flying Nimrods? Royal Air Farce only needs tankers when they have aircraft to tank, and those aircraft are actually capable of taking to the air. Maybe the repaint should be in airline colours and they could be put on high-density regional routes to earn some crown for the Crown to pay for all the bureaucrats who stop the planes being bought and the pilots being trained. :brick:[/quote]

Do we own those or are they on lease and are not allowed to be used on operations?

Just be glad we didn't lop off an ear.... aahhh... engine by mistake. :lol:
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.
