HU FAA Modellers

Post by hobby »

Advertised on Hannant's and Model Hobbies of Stoke On Trent websites last evening was a 1/72 new plastic kit of the Hawker Sea Hawk by the company called 'Hobby' (No connection to self!!). The colour illustration on the box lid was a Suez marked a/c with part of the sbd droptank shot away. The Prices were £14.49 and £13.49. Such a new kit that stocks have not yet been received.

I have not heard of this model company so I have no knowledge of the quality of this kit. Sadly my modelling days are over - the eyes you know but my IPMS Membership number was 47!! in the days when we met in 'The Porcupine' in Tottenham Court Road - I passed the entrance the other day and wodered if the current owners were aware that a world wide organisation had been founded on their premises almost 40 years ago.

Hi Hobby,

I don't think that the VA Crew Room is the best place for this post to get maximum viewings. Not sure if non- VA folk would even venture down this far? E & S may be more appropriate?

Hi John

I was not sure where to post the item. I shall copy my message and post it where you have suggested.

Best wishes, James

Mmm, it's worth looking into a review about it. The Sea Hawk is a lovely type!
