Tonka?

A quick question if ya'll don't mind. Alphasim will soon release their Panavia Tornado. My question is how did the Tornado get the nickname "Tonka"? Just wondering. :)

As with most RAF 'nicknames', 'twas invented by the groundcrew....nothing to do with the 'Tonka' brand of toys....maybe!
