This looks like a good model and is fairly easy to fly!

I tracked a constant sounding tone to the BABS system. Verified by tuning NAV1 to a different frequency. I know how to disable this - just comment out the gauge in the panel.cfg. My question however, is this how the actual BABS system worked - a dit dit sound or dah dah sound if off course and a constant tone if on course to the VOR? Was there anyway to turn it off? To be honest it drives my up the wall after a few minutes. Nothing that I could find in the docs so I did RTFM

Edit: After doing a bit of research, I get the impression the BABS audio tones were only heard on ILS approaches. Is this correct? As it stands now, the Hampden BABS sounds whenever it picks up a valid signal from the NAV1 radio.

Yep, thats the way it works. If you don't like the sound, just retune the radio.

Best wishes

Steve thanks for the response!

Just to clarify - did the BABS tones sound whenever a valid NAV1 signal was received or only when a NAV1 ILS signal was received? The Hampden sounds the tones for any NAV1 signal regardless of if it is an ILS signal or not.
