I have been flying the Alphasim freeware Bucc for a few days and have a little niggle......
Can i adjust the time of the U/C retraction to make it more realistic within the config?
I remember my days at Lossie watching the Buccs take off and if i remember correctly they had a weight actuator that retracted the U/C
as soon as the weight was off them and retracted exceedingly quick.....
The Alphasim Bucc U/C retraction takes an age and is very unrealistic....
Anyone help?

Re: A Config question?
Hi Techy
Here is a typical contact point line.
point.0= 1, -18.0, 0, -3.35, 3200, 0, 0.50,180, 0.25, 2.5, 0.90, 1.0, 4.0, 0, 0, 200
The 12th parameter in this case 1.0 shown in blue is the undercarriage extension time
The 13th parameter in this case 4.0 shown in red is the undercarriage retraction time
Make a back up copy of your config first and put that safe then change any numbers in those columns............there should be three lines with entries there........ one for each leg

Re: A Config question?
Contact lines 0 to 2 were the chappies and i set them up with 1.5 and 1.75 and 1.95 so they retract slightly seperate from each other....
Oh and the retraction and extension are the other way round
Looks great mate ;-) TY

Re: A Config question?
The out of sync timing is one of those little things that make a big difference to realism ;-)
Glad you're sorted

Thanks chaps, I hadn't really thought about it until I stumbled on this topic so I slowed the nosewheel on Ito's Lightning by 2 secs and voila! Incidentally Garry, the parameters were in the order you gave.Garry Russell wrote:The out of sync timing is one of those little things that make a big difference to realism
