They had a DC 4 shoot through the fence at Liverpool I think it was..somewhere in the UK .

It ended up in a road but it's undercarrige was a little shy and stayed behind on the airfield.

Liverpool based....they were taken over by British Eagle and became the Liverpool based division of British Eagle. With Viscount initially leased form Channel in BEIA livery with Starways titles.

G-AMRB crashed on a hillside south of (probably) Renfrew Airport on a positioning flight. The co-pilot was killed, but the pilot managed to rescue the air hostess in spite of injuries including a broken back. Luckily no-one else was on board.

Veering badly OT, so apologies all round, but my repainting skills are pretty much limited to adding the odd straight line or doing colour swaps. When a dear old pilot, Bill Odell for those who have come across his flightsim adventures on t'internet, sent me the attached picture of his favourite DC-3, I couldn't think of any way of doing the swooping expanding red and orange bands on the tail.

At the risk of getting RTFM chucked at me, is there a simple way of achieving this in paint shop pro (8) on either the default or MAAM models? Bill is no longer with us but I would like to have a stab at it for old times sake.

Tell you what Allan

Why not just give it a go without any concern of being able to finish it :)

Take it stage by stage....take your time

There is nothing you can do that will cause harm to man or beast

I bet you will find it more achievable than you ever imagined

If you get stuck no matter what the question is or how trivial you think it is (no question is too trivial)... ask here

You will get an answer pretty quick

Some will be general...some will be PSP specific.

But we've all been there and are only too happy to help out.

Sorry if you think I sound like I'm not saying if you want it do it yourself......no.........but I am saying why not give it a try and with our support who knows where it might lead.

Start with a few easy registration changes or perhaps change the tail logo and build from there. :)

If you want to......we're here :)

good advice from garry to you allan. i have only just started painting aircraft and with garry's and other's help on the way i have produced five repaints. if you asked me only three months ago to do a paint, well the reply would have been no i can't do it. my advice would be start with something simple. my first Dc3 paint was an irish airline. all it had was a simple straight line with a zig zag on the front. the shamrock was head scratching but i got there in the end.
my next with help from the team i used some more advanced tech's and the next was the same. as garry says if your stuck give the forum a shout and help will come along like the number 9 bus. now't at first but then it come's all at once. the lads have helped be greatly on this subject.
