Ding!!!!

I think I've just stumbled on the problem with a 'new day' set of eyes. If you load up a flight at Croydon with no weather.. the 'Active Runway' is 35. The afcad doesn't have a hold short node for runway 35 which is the reason, I think, that it beams into oblivion  Didn't notice before as I'd been starting my flight from one of the parking bays and NOT the active runway. This sound feasible??

Exactly, plus a few other minors.... (starting point offset from RWY, other RWY doesn't have a RWY-link...etc..etc)

Phew-de-do-do-do!

I should have sent that to you yesterday Dan as often, a fresh pair of eyes will see what has become invisible. It would have saved Tony a mornings hair pulling too

Top job and many thanks to all

Yeah you got it Dave......

As you can see Rwy 35/17 is inactive and aircraft will not taxi to and hold short.....You changing it?

Hi Tony..

Dan has sent me a revised bgl which I'm just gonna have a look at. I take it 35/17 should have been a closed runway (which would have explained why there were no hold shorts for it)?? I'll give Dan's bgl a shot and see what happens :)

Dave,

I don't know how familiar you are with AFCAD but it should be an easy fix. Looks like there is no runway taxi link for rwy 17/35 so one has to be created. Just select the runway taxi link icon and draw a line straight down the runway  should line up with the centerline! Then add the hold short nodes where you want (not too far from the runway threshold) and that should do it. Check for faults using the pull-down option from the tools menu :prayer: and hopefully none will appear and your all set. I just modified my Croyden and it took less than a minute. Now I don't think I have any AI there so I will leave the testing to you. :lazy:

Ah, did not see the posts on this page before I jumped in :@ I assume Dan's .bgl fixes it for you.

Tks Nigel. The afcad Dan sent works a treat. The only remaining problem is.. was 35/17 supposed to be used anyway?? Taxiing an HP42 or even a Vimy brings the aircraft rather close to the hangars so a LH turn toward one of the other runways would be less dangerous :dunno: I'm not sure tbh

Anyway.. my Rapide is off toward Shoreham so I can start compiling the Shoreham/Glasgow RAS flightplans now and let my HP42 start heading for Le Bourget :) I've been repainting Tiggies and the Prentice now has 2 paints but I still think there's a shortage of 30's Brit GA models. Dragons and Moths.. we need Dragons and Moths!! :cpu:
