Okey doh ;-) What usually happens is that when a pilot applies to join the VA, John sends a welcome letter and a short questionaire. At this point, he instructs that applicants post here on the forum so that he/we can tie screenames to pilots. I'm just a little concerned I've not seen him up and about for a few days and didn't want to pre-empt/bodge the joining routine ;-) I have the joining forms here somewhere so will dig them out and get back to you on FlyNET via PM

I was with the VA last year and I've not been active for a while so my details got deleted - I've rejoined today so here's the required details, copied from my original post earlier in this thread ;-)

Hi Dom ;-)

I noticed you up a bit earlier and recognised the name Yup.. poo about the way FlyNET managed their users as we lost a good many pilots in the 90-day-clearout :roll: I think this still applies but fear not.. you don't have to go to the trouble of actually flying to remain active.. simply logon at Flynet every month or so (I can't remember 3months)

I'll pop on now and activate your application and add those aircraft. Glad to have you back onboard ;-)

Hi Johnny..

Forgive the faux pas mate. FlyNET was running slower than a no-legged dog this afternoon and what I suspect has happened is that I thought I'd allocated the Dove while waiting ages for a page to load. I've added it now and checked it's there. It is so you're ready to go ;-)

Hi Guys,

Welcome to the VA. I'm away from home atm on a few days R & R (back weds/thu) but it looks like DaveB has sorted you out with your initial TR's. Nice to see you back Dom.

Techy, can't see an app for you yet at FlyNET yet so you'll need to register at FlyNET and apply to CBFS now that things are back up and running.
