Yes, sadly 2 fires in Oxnard were started by Arson for certain. They have 1 in custody now for the first and are not sure if he's responsible for the other one yet.

Also, I just found out as well that apparently there has been a way around the USFS regs or the declaration of a Major Disaster has allowed the Mars to come south of the border and they are to begin drops tomorrow. They will mainly be taking drops on homes with a polymer coating to protect them to allow the smaller attack aircraft to concentrate on taking out the fires themselves.

Using my [old] railway knowledge your 250 miles + or - a mile would cover central london (Kings Cross, through to York, Darlington & to Durham.

That is one hell of a fire front.

You can use the measure tool in Goolgle Earth to check distances.

It is certainly a long front and not something easy to envisage.
