Re: Requests Taken.....!
Tony this is looking like a great project.
Just a few thoughts about the Hunting Clan version after looking at pictures on Airliners.net:
1, The red on the fin should come down a little lower at the forward edge to show the white surround to the H.C.A. crest (see also Garry Russells Viscount)
2, May be the blue cheatline should be a shade darker? (difficult to tell the exact shade with different monitors, lighting etc.)?
3, Would it be possible to make the natural metal of the fuselage slightly more shinny ?(something to do with alpha channels or something) most of the photos of DC-6's, 7s and Connies of the era show that they were quite well looked after, labour was cheaper then.
4, should not the "Hunting-Clan" logo be a little bolder?
I hope you don't think I'm being hypercritical and it is meant as constructive.
Are you going to do every British DC-6 and 7 operator.
If you are "Bl**dy good show old boy". :kissu:
PPS Transmeridian Air Cargo's DC-7s would be good.

Re: Requests Taken.....!
Steve , the more constructive criticism the better mate.....
I will be doing all that i can in this series , only limited by colour photos....
I bought a good book with reference material so i should get quite a few done....
Will work on the HCA issues but the reference and photos i have show different logos and sizes on different aircraft....so i got to follow one of them... ;-)

Re: Requests Taken.....!
Tony,
I realise how difficult it is to interpret from several photographs and arrive at a satisfactory conclusion.
Thanks for making the effort to get it right.
More power to you.
Steve
Now stop answering my stupid posts and get back to work. ;-)

Re: Requests Taken.....!
I need some help if anyone can be so kind.....OK i have started repainting the DC6 and 7 series of aircraft in British airline markings and have come across something i cannot solve by myself......I have tried changing the opacity and darkening the white on the forward and aft sections but always get a colour difference and for the life of me.....I don't know why...

Now if you look behind the N of Clan you will see what i am talking about....?The whites on the Fwd and Aft sections are the same but for some reason they are showing up differently?
Please help someone......

Hi TYony
have you looked at an unpainted model to see if there is any difference in the colour or shine of the base model.
