Yes, I enjoyed that Jim,

My wife is setting off tomorrow from here, to fly from Heathrow on Thursday, on the South American route to the Falkland Islands.

I'll save that excellent article for her return in two weeks time :)

Glad you both enjoyed it :)

Amazing what goggling turns up sometimes. I especially like the thought of the VC-10 being the 'bandit aircraft' :flying:

On a more serious note I learned some things about the islands I did not know 8)

Nice Jim

Regrettably the net is full of rubbish, repeated mis-information and general useless so called knowledge but every now and then when you wade through all of that you come across a complete gem that makes it all worthwhile.

It is always interesting reading this type of article as there is either something new or something seen from a different perspective......... always something learned :)

I guess the answer is simple..it is written by real people about real experience
