Whilst walking the dog this morning a small light aircraft flew over. Wing and tail like a Spitfire with a bubble/teardrop canopy. White in colour but underside was painted in chequerboard colours. Flew north at about 0755 and flew back south at 0815. Could possibly be from Wellesbourne. I live in Redditch so could possibly only gone up the west side of Birmingham before returning.
Engine note smooth but did not sound powerful. When I first saw it in distance I thought it might be a YAK. Gave the impression of being an imitation Spitfire but not a good one!

Re: ID help please?
That's a tough one. Could it possibly have been a Piel Emeraude?

Re: ID help please?
Thanks for the replies. Looks like the Twister in photo 3. Is it supposed to look like a Spit?

Its of all things a German design. Think the Spitfire was an influence.....simondix wrote:Thanks for the replies. Looks like the Twister in photo 3. Is it supposed to look like a Spit?

Homebuilt in this country, not sure if can be purchased complete from the manufacturers. We had one buzzing Eggesford the other day - looks quite impressive.DispatchDragon wrote:Its rather a nice looking piece of gear Martin
