IF it had the Merlin then it might have been a lot better. But it didnt, think it was the only aeroplane to have the Peregrin engine. Wasnt used in the Battle of Britain.
As to the flightmodel. It may have turbines or whatever, but remember it is free. He's trying his best, isnt he?

I thinbk it entered service after the BoB
December 1940 is one of the squadron in service dates.

only two RAF squadrons would be equipped with the Whirlwind, and despite successful use as a fighter-bomber, its service life was short But the Hawker Typhoon out did it :flying:

There is a new set of sounds just posted by Lawdog, if you can be prised away from your Merlins Graham!

Thanks for that Andy. I have d/l that sound pack so now I am flying with the correct sounds.
I also d/l a load of other sounds by Lawdog and I must say I am very impressed with them.
