Re: DIY Scenery
Yes Dave...I agree with John...You need to make a little exclude file to get rid of that "old dog"

Ah!! Tks John/Peter/Dan
This proves once more that you have to be relatively 'in the groove'. I should have thought of this almost immediately as I had a mysterious problem with tree's popping up in unwanted places when I used some of Heron1B's scenery down-under and he got rid of them by sending me loads of excludes!
I shall definately get around to it when I've finished exploring Germany ;-)

Re: DIY Scenery
I find a easier way to decompile recompile is to left click and drag and drop the xml file onto BGLCOMP.exe it does the compile automaticly provided the xml has no errors, same with decompile on bglxml.exe, drag and drop your BGL onto it, no DOS needed and it can be done from a seperate scenery whatever folder in your BGL tools folder, the decompile / compile is written into the folder it was dragged and dropped from so your sceneries and models can be kept seperate from other scenery projects held in that main folder.

Re: DIY Scenery
Hi,
I currently use EZ-Scenery and would never go back to Rwy12. While it does work just fine, it is very clumsy and slow compared to EZS and Instant Scenery. IS is probably the better choice at this point - it is from the same author as EZS, does everything EZS does, has the same interface, allows you to also change the pitch, bank, and scenery density of each object, and is cheaper! The only down side is the Flight1 wrapper, if you have problems with that.
Hope this helps,

Re: DIY Scenery
Another downside with IS Tom is that in FS9 it does not spot and offer as many libraries as EZS...Probably better in FSX but I don't use that.tgibson wrote:Hi,
