Post by Trev Clark »

I wonder what mods could have been carried out for the cost of this report, which says the crash was caused by fire..probably!

He said the Ministry of Defence must take responsibility for failings identified by investigators.
I think Des Browne should go and hang his head in shame, after all, is it not this Government who have constantly reduced the defence budget year by year so thereby weakening the ability of the services to operate efficiently and safely??

Liken it this way though some will not agree.

Des Browne is the Defence Secretary and his responsibilities are no different to that of say, a Chief Constable. If there are failings in the police force or an officer commits a serious breach of duty of care then the Chief Constable can be made accountable. In my eyes the same applies to Des Browne for he heads the defence department and therefore should also be accountable. From his comments above, he is just passing over the blame.

Sorry, just me ranting again.
