Is this the bees knees or what! :welldone:
I've stopped flying and become an aerospotter again.
Mind you, I was a bit disappointed with my home airport Teesside.
Then remembered it was still a RAF base in the years mentioned :$
All congrats to Tom and the team who did this.

Thanks for the kind words. Please let me know if you see anything out of place - this is a beta test after all. Most of the timetable schedules are from 1961, and when modifying them for the actual years mentioned ('57, '59, and '60) I often had to make an educated guess about the aircraft used. Also, I had to make substitutions when there wasn't an AI aircraft available (the Elizabethan, for example) or I just ran out of time (and energy). New liveries or aircraft are probably not in cards at this point, unless they are available somewhere. But there are always later updates for that.

Yep, Teesside (or the dreaded Durham Tees Valley Airport...) had its first airline flight in 1964, if Wikipedia is correct. You'll have to travel a bit farther afield to see them. :)

I found that at Stansted too.. pretty deserted which is hardly surprising since the BAA didn't get their hands on it until '66  No problem though as I will gradually reinstate my UKAI once I've enjoyed 'spotting' a little longer ;-)

I think I'll probably stick with '62 as it has a nice mix of props and jets and I'm still getting double figures around Aerosofts London Heathrow 2007 with AI at 100%!! :o It's a pity there are no 'AI Specific' models for the 1-11, Trident and VC10 but 62 is a bit early for them anyway :)

Um, Dave, I thought there were! Didn't Mr Maltby Sir produce an AI VC10, with another from JBAI. JBAI also had a 1-11 500, not sure if that was a new model or the Dee Waldron reissued?

Hi Dave,

They look much better at the 1961 LHR, of course, but each to his own. xwink

You're right there Tom.
I've just put the 61 Heathrow scenery on with your AI and flying Dave Maltby's Comet.
Heaven :)
All the AI seem to be doing everything right too.

Andy..

I wasn't aware that DM had made AI Specific versions of the VC10 or 1-11's.. only that he described on his site how to make his models AI. Could be wrong though :)

Tom..
Yup.. I know they all look better with that scenery but I use UKVFRPhoto Scenery and UKVFRPhoto Terrain and Wolfgang's LHR isn't designed to work with these. You get water where there shouldn't be water (hows about either side of 9R!!!) and I recently 'fell down' a hole just before hitting the park brake on a VA flight. The damage caused cost 3 days to rectify and many millions of VA dollars (which I flew off I hasten to add). Rather than find another hole.. I uninstalled the scenery. Unfortunate but true. I still use Le Bourget, Schiphol and Shannon as these aren't effected by any terrain mismatch ;-)

Shamrock approaching, EGCC, and taxiing in:

EGCC converted from AFCAD2.1 to FSX via ADE:

Actually I've converted most of them now, but a small few are a bit trickier.
