Post by Trident Man »

Hi all us at the TPS are at it again to save another "British" airliner G-AZMF has to be relocated due to Bournemouth Museum being closed due to expansion. We have set up a donators page so we can raise around £15k to move the aircraft, please help if you can as the aircraft has to be moved by the end of Feb 2008 or Scrapped and we dont want that do we.

Great to see it is still very much on Neil. :welldone:

A donation is on its way.
I've put a news item on my website too, so that will hopefully send a few more your way.

Wow. No sooner has one finished then another is on the drawing board! Neil, next time I'm round at the Queens house I am going to recommend she give you a knighthood.

Will try and pop over and have a chat with you before new year mate.

I have submitted a couple of news items to AVSIM and 'all nodes', featuring the FS link (which may get it posted  ) to DM's re-paints.
If it gets put up, that should spread the news to about 150,000 aviation enthusiasts, worldwide. Perhaps one will win the Christmas lottery in whichever country he/she is in!

If you mentioned me that has probably doomed it for flightsim.com
They ignored me three times about the new Comet VC. Same news was up top of AVSIM within 10 mins.

Hi Dave, Avsim have a team of news guys (one of them used to be me) that post submissions pretty much 27/7 depending on the time zones they live in. I think 'all-nodes' are put up by Nels himself. The screenshot comp was treated better by FS.com than Avsim, who considered it a threat and pulled it after 3 hours  Still, to ask costs nothing.

An update from me...

Firstly, theres now a website at http://www.mikefoxtrot.org.uk

You can donate by cheque to a UK bank account which as before is being managed by Steve Petch who managed fundraising for the Trident

The total we'll need for the project is likely to be higher than first estimated (as is often the way!) and we currently obtaining quotes for the job. We should soon be in a position to describe in greater detail what we plan to do but it'll be along the same lines as what happened with the Trident (although hopefulyl a LOT smoother and to a much shorter timescale!)
