The operation of the flaps is probably due to the complex way that the flap section folds back onto the remainder of the wing, when the wings are folded. I didnt notice this when trying out the various prototypes and dont think that it causes that much of a problem. I would have thought that making the flaps fold without the wing section would be extremely hard to do - but what do I know, I'm not a builder.

You all have to realise that Ito's reasoning of our language is very very limited and all translations are done through an online translation program. When I email him, I have to remember this and think of the easiest way to put my message across. Anything technical in a document I'm afraid at times can be missed or misinterupted and therefore such points may be excluded from the final result. What he have here with the Barracuda is, as how Kazunori sees it and to him thats final.

He is suffering at this very moment a bout of ill health and I know had problems in creating the colour scheme. I tried to slow him down a little bit and try and not be so productive, but he loves making these models and as we can see here with we have a good rendition of this forgotten dive bomber. Last night, he sent me the first prototype of the next design and hopefully this should be out by the end of next week, if all goes to plan.

Best wishes to all,

Martin

Thats fair enough! It's better to have someone who enjoys making models for fun, than giving up because he cannot keep all of us lot happy. Perhaps a re-painter fancies a go.

Thanks for the kind words, I'll make sure I post them off to Japan tonight. Hope that the next project is to everyone's liking.....I still cant remember what it is...and have to enter too many Google searches before I get to the real thing!!

I can only ask....will do tomorrow as am off flying today:)

Edit: Have mentioned it this morning so will see what happens. Weather wasnt at all up to it yesterday and only managed 15 mins or so, until the sky got very black indeed. Forecast is meant to be a lot better today, so will try again, but I'm not holding my breath. Be better to be able to fly on January 1st.
