Yes.. it is easier said than done ;-) I only ever use the speedbrake when slowing from high speed. Once at or around 230kts, I then prepare/position myself to enter downwind.. letting speed decay naturally. The speedbrake is never used during the landing phase ;-) That doesn't mean to say you can't.. just that I don't.

Don't suppose there would be any chance of you doing them in PDF Format sometime in the future? :prayer:
Well it is a pretty major scanning job Nigel, but I will give it a go when I have some spare time...I'm also considering doing my Hunter FGA 9 Pilot's Notes the same way...They are the same late type as the Sea Vixen ones. I'm running several things at once at the moment but I have finished testing for Dreamfleet for a while now that the FS9 Piper Dakota is released...They are busy with the FSX version now and I don't do that! I'm also keen to get back to my Seaplane Base building...I've done five and that leaves fourteen to go! :flying:
My apologies to all who were unable to find the gauge I referred to in a previous message.
I missed out one letter in the zip file title which should read rcbco-20.zip.
I have just visited avsim.com and found the required gauge by selecting "Rob Barendregt" under 'search files.' The required gauge is in fs2004 gauges and is also entitled "Carrier Operation package v2.0" dated 4th Jan 2005.
Once again I apologise for the missing letter in my original text.
Many thanks to Peter M for bringing this error to my notice.
Going on from Hobby's post...I was pretty unimpressed with the consistency of my AutoTraps...I could see from replays that the aircraft was hitting the target area EVERY time but still making many bolters...I thought perhaps that the fault lay with 3 Wire and I was going to test other software. However, reading the documentation of rcbco I was pointed towards the Aircraft.cfg file and I made two small edits to the Sea Vixen's Aircraft.cfg file and Lo and Behold, I have just done 5 perfect AutoTraps in a row and I guess the problem has now gone away and I have decided to stick with 3 Wire.
Many thanks for those values to the cfg file Peter, it now appears that my deck landings have improved though not successful every time, I still need to improve my spot landings.
Nigel.
