One exception..

If you've not kept up to date with the repaints.. a link to AVSIM is a rather painful way to get 'em all and NOT what I was expecting. Needless to say, I've not downloaded any

But I thought you were 'the gaffer' matey

TBH.. I bought it and I never fly it. Most of my time not in development is spent flying and CBFSVA is not about DC2's I'm afraid. I was hopeful of a 'quick fix' from that link but if that is not to be.. no problem ;-) I'll not miss the repaints and it's easier to delete the cfg entries than download the paints from AVSIM (not the fastest of download sites) :)

Hey Dave,

This was the most painless way to do it for people that DID install the repaints.
And I for one can't imagine anyone NOT to install at least some of them CHEERS )
I guess I would get more complaints when everybody had to cut and paste all entries INTO the aircraft.cfg again :)

I think it IS a good idea to have all repaints pre-installed in one installer. Maybe I will do that when Tim is done repainting (I dread that day :) )

Hiya Rob :)

Well.. the last suggestion is one that's always going to be difficult to achieve unless you're certain no more paints are going to be added. Nice idea but possibly impractical ;-) I don't fly it enough for the gaps to be a problem (mores the pity) but it really is no hassle to keep a full copy of the cfg and edit out the paints I don't have (eg.. back to standard/release). :)

I really must try and work it into my AI (and that's no slur either) as it's an aircraft I love to see so if I don't get time to fly it.. at least I can enjoy seeing it ;-)

Hi Dave,

Some of us fly this kite too much, and some of us not enough. The good this is, it's all OK
I have been working on an AI version. (it's not modelled with various LOD's) but I merely took out the interior model and the interior from the outside model. The exterior textures are reduced to DXT3 and the interior textures deleted. Only the exterior sounds remain. At least I lightend the framrate burden a bit. Not sure how, where or when to upload. I'm still not happy with the flightmodel. (too slow, and tricky on landing)

Hi Rob :)

That is good news  Perhaps an AI version could be included as another upgrade by using the F1 wrapper  I'd not want to unleash it 'free'.. as on the open market, without neutering it in such a way as to stop unscrupulous parties using/releasing it as their own. At least by limiting it to the F1 wrapper, you're restricting it to registered users (though of course, this is no guarantee it won't find itself on some pirate site)

Keep us posted ;-)
