Re: Vanguard Prototype Video....
Hi Tony
Love it.. love it.. LOVE IT
For the great unwashed.. today, 20th January is the 49th anniversary of the Vanguard's first flight, a short hop from Weybridge to Wisley.. not as short as originally intended as Jock Brice felt confident enough to extend the flight
A nice bit of realism there Tony.. the wx was as shown (raining) and the main gear and climb flaps were deployed throughout
Not so sure about the second vid though! :o
A special thanks to Rick for unwittingly giving me a reason to get out of bed every Wed (my day off).. to Fraser for chipping away at the panel giving us a very realistic (and it is too) rendition of the real thing and of course.. to GarryR for an already extensive set of paints for the old girl ;-) I know that AOYW was a 950 and as such, didn't have the dorsal at that point in time but you have to go with what you have ;-)

As Dave points out it follows the acutal event very well even down to the 'firm' landing.
Thanks Tony

What a fantasic video! Love that track (classical gas?) and it's got a real period feel to it. Fantastic work and a fine tribute to today's date

Re: Vanguard Prototype Video....
Tony, an excellent video to a classic aircraft and also a tribute to those who built and painted it for us to enjoy in FS.
