Haven't "we" been extremely slow the past day(s)

Post by DanKH »

I am of course referring to the Forum. Or is it a special Danish/British connection issue?

I've noticed that the front page has lost various parts as well (Banners etc.)

I thought it was just me. Happened frequently over the last 3 to 4 days. :dunno:

The net in general and this site in particular for me

I can't play streamed vids without pausing for a while as the play catches up ith the stream every few seconds.

The site is very popular at the moment and this is really out of our hands.

Ben is aware of it and is, as always watching the situatation and never misses a chance to improve and upgrade what he can when he can.

But there is only so much that can be done.

Hi Chaps,

This is something we are aware of, and yes, both the internet in general this week and our server. The Net is slow as one of the root DNS servers is off line for maintenance... we are slow because we're busy. TBH the next step up on the server scale is a bridge too far for us to finance at the moment, as it stands currently, two of us split the cost. Maybe if Heinken double my salary when they take us over, I'll upgrade to the top of the range server.

Slow in Filey also - but then we always were  :-#

Not to worry, I can live with it.
