Alphasim Freebies

Post by Trev Clark »

The Vickers Wellington and Hawker Typhoon (the real WW2 one) are now freeware (with VC's and panels) along with a few other older models. Thanks to Phil at AS for this generous donation.

Here is the freeware page

Apology

I made a 'muck up' by moving this post and 'locking' the old post in payware heads up. To sort this error, I actually managed to delete the whole perishing post, not just the old one. :'( :'( :'(
Apologies to those who contributed and to Andy who posted the original. Blame my distinct lack of understanding how the moderators panel works! After about 4 years this is the first time I played with it....and got it WRONG!!!!! :$ :$

Great to see the Typhoon as freeware. What does a Napier Sabre sound like, please has anyone an idea for a sound file to replace the default?

I seem to remember there being a decent soundset in the P Burnage Typhoon & Tempest package for CFS2 (Carl-Olof Sandberg?), you can get it over at Flightsim.

Also well worth checking out the very nice Typhoon repaints over at the Sim-Outhouse, do a search of addons from 'Morton'.

Grabbed the Wellington, though haven't installed it yet. Might get a few of the airfields too. :)
