Just deleted my FS9

Post by thehappyotter »

But no need to worry, it'll be reinstalled straight away...

I was having all sorts of problems and it was painfully slow to load to i've decided to start again, the only problem being that i'll have to re download everything i've added over the years.

As i'm sure there's things i've missed and never had the pleasure of using, what would people recommend as must downloads? Aside from those from the CBFS locals which i'll obviously add straight away!

Has anyone got any ideas?

Rob.

Hi Rob,

Just make sure before you go adding anything to make a complete copy of the FS9 folder and tuck it away somewhere. Addons is a very personal choice and I'm sure that you will get heaps of suggestions. As for me, I have Active Sky, UT Europe, GE pro as a baseline. The rest is added/removed as I see fit.

Regards

John

Hi Rob :)

I made mine go instantly quicker a few nights ago by MOVING my complete aircraft folder to another drive.. 39.9gig worth  I then put back all the default aircraft plus the Vickers Vanguard. Goes like something off a shovel now

If you fly a lot.. as well as the bits John has recommended, I'd consider FSNavigator. I never fly without it ;-)

Hehe, just goes to show how you take things for granted. If I went without FSNav onboard, I'd taxi straight back to the ramp and go get it :doho: A must have !

It is the single most used payware I have ever bought. I will not even CONSIDER going to FSX until an FSX version is produced. THAT is how useful I consider it to be ;-) As John said.. if I, like he, attempted to go anywhere without FSNav onboard.. I'd never leave the ramp either ;-)
