I want to know how much it cost to get the BBCAmerica announcer to do that....
That was too funny. Too bad those of you in the UK don't get to hear some of his great stuff they put on here, especially the one about "funny British accents" and the use of the closed captioning on the TV to be able to understand the show. It plays before some of the shows and is ALWAYS the lead into Top Gear, which I've always found even funnier since they're probably some of the easiest to understand (with the exception of when they had Jackie Stewart on... ) of the hosts & actors who appear on BBCA.
The BBC America prelude I love is the announcement "If you had not dumped our tea into Boston Harbour, you might be more familiar with the accents in the following programme."
I have to admit, coming from the South (UK, that is) I have been tempted to use closed captioning with some of the programmes featuring accents from the North (UK again).
