Britain's Airlines: 1951- 1964: v. 2: 1951- 1964
I picked this up in the UK last week,(13 quid plus p and p from Amazon) some cracking stuff about real classics, othe aircarft and airlines. This really was a classic period in British aviation that will never be seen again.
How about taking a Viscount all the way to Kenya in 3rd class (used to be called colonial coach class) and a Derby Airlines Dak all the way to Palma, both would require a holiday to get over the flight! More airlines I have not heard of here than I ever believed possible, some nice photos, but most in B and W, which is no help to the re-painters.
