Argosy C1....

Post by TSR2 »

I seem to remember when Rick was doing the Argosy, that the difficulty in doing the C1 was the lack of access to one. It seems the Cosford one is now indoors, since last year! :worried:

Hello Mate :)

I don't think that's the whole story but certainly part of it. Thing is with the C1, it's far from doing a quick cut and shut on the original model as the rear (amongst other things) is completely different. Rick was close to jumping off tall buildings with the Argosy and to pursue the C1 might have been enough! :o I doubt one would happen now as Rick is exclusively FSX.

Well...you can always buy a kit of a 1/72 Argosy C.1 as a consolation. I'm about to build it, so I'm happy in that sense!

you git

i got bad acid reading all this Argosy C1 stuff when i have too much to do already :$

it takes so much longer to make a full FSX model with all new functions working that i just can't think about any updates currently.
but i see no point making FS9 models as to convert then is just pontless as FS9 cannot do what FSX can do especially detail.

i had hoped it would be easy conversion (yes it is if you don't want all the new features) but thats like buying a Ferrari & sticking a roofrack on it :brick:

there are far too many FSX models out there that are not FSX models if you get my drift ie: they are only part converted and not full FSX models.

Regards
Rick
