Does any of you have some knowledge of what kind of traffic you might expect at Brize during the late 60ies early 70ies?

I would have thought as well visitors form othere bases would be fairly regular

Comet, Basset, Pembroke, Devon, Anson, HS.748 Andover CC2, Valetta, Varsity, Hastings and the like :think:

VC10's, Belfast's and Britannia's seems to be the ones I'm after (You are of course right about the visitors as well Garry, but I'm just after the Brize-based aircraft)

Concur with that Tony. Surprised it's not gone freeware yet but there you go :dunno:

Flew into Brize on a Brit from Luqa in March 74 :) Did a parachute course from there in 76 and there was loads of C130 activity too ;-)

1967-76 53 Sqn Belfasts C1
1967- 10 Sqn VC 10 C1
1976- 241 OCU Andover C1
1970-75 99 Sqn Brittania C1
1970-75 511 Sqn Brittania C1
1975-78 115 Sqn Argosy E 1
1976- 115 Sqn Andover
1976- JATE Hercules C Mk 1(on permanent loan from 38 Gp)

Brize Norton in the 70's. I remember all those aircraft plus a certain mobile disco by the name of Scorpius..................
