The base I frequently pestered my parents to take me to (when in the area), after seeing the gate guard there at a young age, and being unable to ID it. Imagine my disappointment when we finally went and the aircraft (turned out to be a Meteor NF.11, I believe) had been replaced with a missile. :lol:

Might be worth picking up, seeing as the base still exists. I wouldn't advise landing there, though!

nope...did our entry's up in the wilds of Catterick Moor, we had a bit of a run-in with a Chieftain tank that
drove through the bivvy site during the night....after that subsequent entries went to Luffenham, to be safer!
