FS-eXcel

Post by Tomliner »

Just seen an ad for this product on Avsim's website. It is to replace default environment, building, runway and water textures in FS9.Has anyone bought it yet and if so what's it like?.Seems very reasonably priced at $14.99.The info on their website gives compatabilty details.I use VFR Photographic Scenery and VFR Terrain for the UK and presume that it will work OK with these.Unless anyone knows otherwise. Best Wishes EricT :)

Downloading it now. I have all the other enhancements it's supposed to be compatible with, so I'll have a go at it this afternoon. I'm especially curious about the autogen as one can never have too many trees (unless they're stuck in the middle of a runway :@ ).

Good day, Folks

FSeXel is a very nice product and well worth the price. Especially if one has a limited number of enhancements. I like 95% of what I see. I've been using AES 7 & 8, but I prefer FSeXcel runways, etc. I have Flight Environment and I prefer the CU clouds I'd chosen, but that's a matter of taste and is in no way critical of FSeXel. What I really like is the autogen trees: They look realistic and appears there are many more, but not anywhere that would damage sheet metal. I still have more 'playing' to do (and I don't know how to post pics), but I think it's a very worthy consideration for anyone.
