Thanks Mark, markw wrote:There were quite a few archive Trident films on a series of videos dating from the late 90's called the "British Airways Archive Collection". As far as I know they are no longer available, nor have they made it into DVD release yet, but you might be able to turn one up on Amazon or e-Bay second-hand. However, they are likely to cost top-dollar as they are as rare as rocking horse dung. I was lucky, I got a complete set which are now locked very firmly in a cupboard and only get an airing occasionally to keep them in reasonable nick, and no amount of money would entice me to part with them!
The whole series contained fabulous ex BOAC, BEA, Imperial and manufacturer's promotional films and featured everything from the Handley Page HP42 via the Dragon Rapide, DC3, Argonaut, Heron, Britannia and Viscount to the VC10, Concorde, Comet and even helicopters, and must be well overdue a DVD release. I wonder who holds the rights to release them now?
You may also want to keep an eye on Avion videos, he's released VC10 and BAC1-11 archive films which are jolly good, so it may be Tridents will be next on his to-do list! http://www.avionvideo.com/
