Nice shots Pete, thanks for posting ;-)
Odd spacing on the reg too :o
Internal shot demonstrates the Viscount windows nicely, as they never looked quite as big as the Viscount's on the larger aeroplane from the outside; over two feet tall as well :tab:
cheers

Yes I thought that, too - dictated by the space available at the top of the fin and rudder, I guess.

re the reg I think what Fraser means is that is is odd compared to other Vanguards
There is sometimes a little bunching but not that much.
That's what struck me as odd when I first clapped eyes on it

Yes, I see what you mean, Garry. Here are EM and ER taken from similar angles and the difference is quite noticeable.

Lovely pics !
I wonder if the rudder has been replaced and pre-painted prior to fitting? The red on the fin and rudder in pic 1 look slightly different shades - new vs old? May possibly explain the odd spacing.
Regards
John

I keep seeing things in these pics that realy bring back memorys, ground equipment etc, but the real heads up was the interior shot, I remember when Air bridge bought the VC9's from BA we received all the spares as part of the package, but after unloading 3 great containers we realised that 90% of it were the interior fittings for the old pax versions :doho:, hundreds of window blinds, seat covers, galley parts, carpets.....
should have seen the look on the bosses faces, classic, we've been screwed :@.

Those Viscount type windows would probably worth a mint now to museums trying to restore aircraft
Looking at the first pic I wonder if the spacing anomile is only port side as the orignal posted is the starboard and looks normal.
I do have a pic of EP side showing normal spacing on the starboard which undated but has V.701 RS G-ANHC so it's early 1963 or before.
The odd one looks about 1964 ish by the polished Trident in the background
