Just a quickie
SO where does the Waverly go to from Broadford??
Also I have now got several conflicting photographs and drawings - Pooleys says NO lights/No Papi - yet the Hitran report photos clearly show both.
The portacabin on the west side of the larger apron appears to have been moved so it blocks the ramp partially and is now on the east side of the
apron. Also there is a long tinbuilding paralell to the hangar that isnt in my photos - the one thing that does appear in all the photos I have is
the Grob style glider trailer parked behind the second portacabin. Finally the lat/lon given when loaded into FS9 stock scenery is about 750m further
inland than the aerial photos suggest - Damn who told me scenery building was easy??? I spent three hours today planting shrubbery along the inland
side of the runway!!!! AND NO JOKES about demanding a shrubbery :brick:
Ah well it keeps me off the streets

Re: Broadford sampler
Hi Folks
Leif -
Broadford is just one of the Waverly excursions ports of call,
rather than a from/to.
Waverley Excursions - Timetables
She's not going to Broadford or Portree this year.
Armadale, Skye, appears to be the furthest north.
CLYDE SUMMER SAILINGS by Waverley
In my Pooleys, (2003), there are no lights, except incase of emergency.
Guess they'd been fitted since.
Though supposedly there's been maintenance problems with them failing,
so maybe Pooleys are erring on side of caution.

Re: Broadford sampler
Thanks Paul
I guess I can cheat a little as this will be a "period" piece for the VA guys (There was actually Islander sched service into Broadford for a while
so I can include the Waverley from years gone by....I have several photos of the dreaded portacabins some show two and the last photo you
included show the one by the hangar replaced with what appears to be a conex - and if I read the fine print correctly its used to store SAR equipment.
I also notice that the apron also appears to have been painted with yellow diagonals which dont show in any of the aerials I have,

Hi Folks
Leif -
From what I'd read
the SAR kit is stored in the green cabinets.
