Phoenix Simulation RAF Vulcan
hello , Ref. Payware RAF Vulcan,
I bought the product from Just Flight and i have found flying this Vulcan a challenge, after many failures i have got to the stage when on final approach when i disengage autopilot i find it extremely difficult to put the aircraft down at the correct angle and airpseed. i try to get 15 degrees and about 120 knts.
I would be extremely grateful to anyone who has mastered this fine aircraft, for any flying tips.
Your people recently helped me with Dave Maltby`s Trident, i am far from an expert in flight sim but i am having much better success with the Trident, VC10 and 1-11, I am nearly there with the Vulcan, or is it as I supect practice, practice, practice.

Hi sammach
I've not flown the PSS Vulcan seriously for ages now but I remember it being rather a handful :o Are you coming in to land with the airbrakes extended?? If not, try it.. the real one does and this certainly helps with the model ;-)

I would be inclined to a slight faster approach than 120kts, then deploy your airbrakes at flair. that works for me

Re: Phoenix Simulation RAF Vulcan
Delta wing models are not good in MSFS and nothing is 'more delta' than the Vulcan. I found that (as with 558), it handles better when it is very light, ensure you have a low fuel and weight setting via the menu. A gentle and constant headwind on the nose is also an advantage
As Dave says, power on air brakes out and a little more speed helps too. Try a place like Edwards AFB where there is plenty of space, just to start with.
I find flying circuits in the Vulcan one of the biggest challenges in MSFS, partly because of visibilty and partly because of it handling. Like all things, practice makes perfect!

Id say the same as the guys above had said... I would like to add also add on the fact that i have my X52 set up with a rotary airbrake set up so i can adjust the brakes...

Re: Phoenix Simulation RAF Vulcan
I think the correct technique was 140 kts airbrakes out.
