Request for Nazca Steve

Post by Nigel Edwards »

Steve,

I was wondering if there was any chance you might do a repaint of a 232 OCU Valiant? I really love the 138 and 199 Sqn schemes you did.

Best wishes

Certainly, Nigel. Do you have any pics I can use as reference? The Valiant was a pleasure to paint and it'd be nice to do some more.

Best,

Steve

Oh Techy, come on now, it wasn't that bad...providing you didn't try to put any camo on it ;-)

I'll see what I can dig up online, but Techy is usually the king on tracking pics down.

Something definitely looks off on the cone. Maybe a replacement panel. Techy is right though, Nigel, unless 232 OCU had her Valiants in silver or white, we can't do the camo scheme correctly due to the mapping error. A shame, as Tony made good headway with that back in the day until we reached the tailplane.

Time for a new model! Calling all modellers with time on their hands...
