I updated my Google Earth program the other day as it was way out of date and I needed a screen grab to use as a background for the total re-work I have been doing to my nearest 'city' airport in FSX (it was pathetic in FSX but looks MUCH better now!
)While zooming in on details to try and get the best shaped generic buildings to place in game (I can only place generic/stock library buildings with the two software apps I am currently using) I noticed the items in the photo below (above the large hangar in the middle of the shot).
Now I obviously know what the wings came off (and the story behind them) and possibly Dave 'Cap't. Pugwash' may know too but I thought I would throw it up here for all the rivet counters (joking
) to see if anyone can identify which bird the wings came from. I'll give you a hint, it is a British design and has a bit of history behind it. ;-) I will let you ponder over it for a while and then give you the answer tomorrow.
