Right..

There is a slight problem in that the texture map pulls from the same place for the eng-fuse struts as it does the wing struts so.. while the wing struts are now silver.. the eng-fuse struts are too and I'm pretty certain they should be blue. Never mind.. that little problem releases me from absolute accuracy (not that you'd have got that anyway)

Garry..
That B&W shot has convinced me the BEA logo WAS red inside (even though it's not visible on the colour shots) so that's the way I've done it (with many layers added so an option to go back to whichever one you've seen thus far is possible)

Looks kinda cool with the full logo me thinks ;-)

Don't you hate it when modellers do that Dave

She does look good in that scheme, doesn't she. :)

Yes.. it can be a little inconvenient  No problem though.. I'm sure you'll map it differently next time! :worried:

Yeh.. I think it's quite cool too. Wonder how it'll look in FJ Green :o

In case anything 100% definate comes out over the next day or so with regard to that logo, I'll hang on to it but otherwise, it's done me thinks. I expect Friday evening will be as good a time as any to release it out into the wild ;-) In the meantime.. I'll take a look at BA

Garry..

I don't suppose you know what the name is on the nose of AKOE?? Looks like 'Sir Something or other' but I don't know where they'd have got that from as OE didn't have a name with BEA :dunno:

Hi Dave,

According to the book 'de Havilland Biplane Transports' it is Sir Henry Morgan.

Hi John,

That's brilliant mate. I know that she didn't fly with BEA in the days of the Islander class so could pull reference from that. Just spent a good 30mins looking online and nowt (who says you can find anything on the internet) :o

Zooming in on the shot I have.. I was begining to wonder if it said 'Sir Terry Wogan' but considered that to be unlikely

Excellent mate.. another one bites the dust

Sorry Dave.........I was away for a bit....a time that is, not literally a bit.

Anyways.....haven't a clue so just as well John stepped in.

Thanks John :)

One comment about G-AHGD made at the beginning

Yep she is still current but was written off in a fatal crash in the early nineties but does still exist as a wreck.

Neither of these aircraft served with BEA

Garry

EDIT You slipped in about BEA service but I won't bother to change my post

Hi Guy's..

I've run out of paint so you can get the two featured repaints of AHGD (BEA Flying Jack) and AOKE (BA Red tail) HERE

They both look pretty much as they did in the WIP shots so no great surprises. I've faded KE quite a lot as an all-white aircraft requires sunglasses to look at
