I love those sort of article

Spend hours sometimes going through that stuff

They thought they had answers for everything nad were not afraid to give it a go. :lol:

Seems odd by our standards, but in those days it was unlikley you could telephone as even if they did have one they were out and about.

Local radio does a similar thing now where they broadcast sudden changes in situations, some quite personal so in it's day it may well have had limited use.

Hmm.. well, I don't think we use our computers for planning the dinner menu.. not our own anyway :lol:

Pity they're not still that size now.. I wouldn't have room for 5! :D

Mmm, I wonder how anyone would know they had a message posted on "The Notificator"? Did they send a telegram saying the 1930's equivalent of "You've got mail"?

We used to use portable flame throwers in the 60's/70's
