RealAir Spitfire PR.XIX PS915

Post by Tweek »

Still a WIP!

No luck over at the Outhouse (yet) so I'll ask over here too.

Does anybody know what font is used for the serial on this airframe? Also, what crest is that under the cockpit, and what is written in red?

http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air ... re/1348159

It's 90% complete, and just needs those little bits to finish it off.

Well it's painted in the colours of PS888 of 81 squadron, so I assume it's the 81 squadron crest

and the text looks like "emergency something access"

Thanks, that does indeed look like the right crest.

Being as the text is so small, it's probably not that important. I could just have a bit of fun with that!

I think it probably says something like 'BET YOU CAN'T READ THIS'

I had to settle for something sensible (emergency canopy release) as you can just about read it. So no "Extreme Condom Dispenser" written on the side of this Spit!

I agree with Tony (Techy if there are any others about!). The lettering reads 'Emergency Canopy Release'. You can just about read it if you look at the large version of that A.net link.

Best,
Myles

Are we talking FS9 or FSX here??

If it's an FS9 paint, I'll be adding this one too ;-)
